I thought I would try my hand at this exercise, but I guess I wasn't
being too serious about it, and the cards laughed back.I'm doing this from memory, 'cause my connection is down at the moment.
But as I recall, there is a three-card spread to do with a problem. So
I chose as my problem, "I got a wicked hangover." I used the RW deck
first, then compared with Ancestral Path.CARD #1--nature of the problem
CARD #2--cause of the problem
CARD #3--solution to the problem
RW #1--Ten of Swords
Yes, I overdid it, and yes, this shows exactly how I feel.
RW #2--Five of Cups
Oh my goodness, did I leave two standing? = P
RW #3--Four of Cups
Pretty straightforward: refuse after three drinks. (Not that that helps me *now* though.)
AP #1 10S--A shogun ritually assasinated by a Ninja.
Book says: "Overkill." Isn't that a band? Nonetheless, I am "stabbed
all over with many pains." However the shogun, unlike the guy in the
RW, has no sword in his head.AP #2 5C--Arthur dejected and brooding
As "cause of the problem" this card doesn't really fit. It's more about
a solitary despair, which had nothing to do with my drinking too much.
(It was more Nine of Cups, actually.)AP #3 4C--Arthur in despair and denial
This doesn't help me either. Despite the similarities to the RW, this
is a more bored and depressed guy. If the solution is to be bored and
depressed, forget it. I'm gonna go eat ice cream with my kid.
